Robot made out of rectangles |
It was fun to see how each student tackled the job of cutting out and assembling the rectangles to create a new object: a robot! When students completed their robots, they counted the total number of rectangles and then figured out how many rectangles they used in each color.
We couldn't have done it without the help of our classroom volunteers! Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication each week!
At home, students can do shape hunts. This week you could ask your student to find as many different kinds of rectangles around the house. Some ideas might be: tables, books, doors, legos and so on and so on! Have fun! Any student who reports to the teacher how many shapes they found this week will receive a special sticker.
Lots of fun yellow buttons! |
