Kindergarten field trip to The Farm!

Tractor ride out to the pumpkin patch!
On Tuesday, October 20th, the kindergartners from Westgate boarded buses and headed north to Snohomish, WA to visit The Farm. It was a beautiful afternoon full of exciting activities. As soon as the students finished their lunches, we all headed to the Hay Maze. Students wound their way through bales of hay and ended with an exciting ride down the slide! Just around the corner from the Hay Maze, students found farm animals and a petting zoo. One of the highlights was petting sweet kittens.

As soon as our hands were washed, the Westgate kids loaded onto hay wagons and headed out to the pumpkin patch. Along the way, we saw fields of huge pumpkins. The ride was a bit bumpy but worth it as the students searched the patch for their very own perfect pumpkin. Our class managed to snap a fun picture all together showing our new orange friends.

The hay wagons took us back to the picnic area where all the students received an orange popcicle and watched the famous Pig Show. From the Pig Show it was back to the buses and back to school.

We wanted to give a huge thank you to all of the chaperones who came with us. You helped make our first field trip a success.
